We started this journey in early 2015 where, albeit accidentally, each of Iglu’s founders started welcoming guests into their own homes. A love of hospitality and a genuine interest in people made AirBnB a very interesting proposition. Now almost 4 years on, we have each been long term Superhosts on the AirBnB platform - an award given to what AirBnB define as “hosts who go above and beyond for every guest”.

In early 2018 we decided to team up to deliver a service that enabled property owners in Manchester to earn a passive income from having their homes listed as serviced properties on partner sites such as AirBnB, Trip Advisor, Booking.com…etc.

We see our clients as business partners, they provide the premises and we stage, capture, list and manage all guest facing interactions including check-ins and post check-in cleaning and maintenance…resulting in the exceptional guest experiences that we are known for. Together we create profitable and sustainable revenues in the long term with the least amount of effort expected on the client’s part.

Property Insurance & Regulatory Advice

At Iglu, we care that the relationships we build with our clients gets off to a flying start. As such, we are cautious to ensure that we remain transparent and develop our relationship with care and professionalism.

Whilst our clients do benefit from a hassle-free property management service, our remit as a service management company is centred around the delivery of exceptional guest experiences and as such we need to stress that it is the responsibility of all home owners to ensure that their properties meet any regulatory obligations under the law.

On occasion we are asked to act on the instruction of our clients and we will always endeavour to support them in any way we can. The work Iglu carries out on your property is insured by a comprehensive policy with The Finsbury Group to the sum of £3 million. Additionally all properties listed on AirBnB benefit from Host Protection Insurance to the sum of $1 million USD. We recommend that all our clients ensure that their properties are correctly insured and that their buildings insurance covers them for short term lettings. Don’t want to miss the summer holidays? Tired and just need a break? Managing a short term property let can be an extremely tasking role, it is a full time job in its own right. Simple pleasures like spending quality time away with your family can often become impossible. We know these challenges well and decided to provide a service that would help hosts get away whenever they felt the need to.

Iglu doesn’t need to manage your home all year round, instead if you just want a break every now and then we can look at setting up a seasonal or holiday management plan. This will allow us to manage your property in either busy periods or in blocks of one or more months.
